Dane Mallahan

Away Team is about a specific group of scientists, their bodyguard – survivalist – their pilot, and a boy sent by his father to learn from experience what the universe has to offer; from it’s hellish landscapes to it’s other formidable threats. They make up part of a much larger convoy ship that has been sent out to plot the course for future exploration and habitation outside their known solar system. Their mission is to scan for and mark resources, determine habitability – or lack there of – and to search for the most meaningful resource out there: other intelligent life. They will fight amongst themselves in the most petty ways, they will be put in danger and forced to make harsh decisions, and in the end they will all realize just how small they are in the emptiness surrounding them.
