Well I am late again posting this week.

Monday started off great; I had lofty goals and I was going to try and start recording an episode of Away Team this weekend, but unfortunately my wife and I got sick on Thursday.  Still feeling a bit of a bug as of this evening – Saturday – but hopefully will be mended by Monday.

In the efforts to post more on social media and try to engage a crowd of followers, I had resigned to setting aside my Fridays for making a video and posting more elsewhere.  That will have to wait until next week, of course, but I will start that next week.

Writing wise I sat down and started to write the third Path of The Chosen book.  I have been wavering on whether I wanted to start writing that or continue with editing, but the conclusions I have come to is that the first book needs other eyes, eyes that aren’t mine, and I need to spend some time to find those eyes.  In the meantime, I need to do what I know that I can do, and that is to continue to write the series.

So, along with the PoTC book, I have been writing a more fantasy focused book that involves two partners, Brillick and Vivian, focusing on them as fighters in a magical arena guild.  I have not developed the entire story or world yet, but it is something that I thought up that I wanted to try.  I have been writing this story on my phone while I go for walks or run errands – using text to speech while driving of course.  Having different modes of writing has really helped me to pack in the word count without always sitting around on the computer.

That being said, I have moved away from writing in a notebook and am trying to write creatively in a word processor.  I got about 7,000 words down this week, and it does feel a lot better knowing that I do not have to spend the extra time typing it up.  I already have the feeling that it will take less time to edit than typing from my poorly legible notebook pages.  So, even if it might be a little more difficult – at first – and I might not be able to write as much each week, I already see more progress doing it this way.  Now all I have to do is make sure I am keeping my files organized!
