Hello all.
It’s September finally and I am starting to feel autumn’s impending grace. I love the fall. It starts to get cloudy and dark and I can start to retreat into myself; it always makes for good writing.
This week I was really focused on working on my Away Team issues. I wrote about 23 pages this week and was able to get caught up and finish the week with a completed issue #4. I have really been enjoying these short stories and seeing where I go with them.
I spent the rest of my week getting familiar with a new writing software called Scrivener. There was a little bit of a learning curve but I think I have developed a template that’s going to work for me moving forward.
I was recently reminded about National Novel Writing Month coming up in November. It’s something that I have never participated in and something I think would really encourage me to focus even more on writing and press my capabilities. I don’t want it to be a distraction, however, and part of me feels like the program is for enthusiast writers, not someone who’s trying to make it a profession.
If I were going to participate I would want to try and get this first “cycle” of Away Team issues completed. I have been doing an issue a week and have 8 weeks until November, so, I could make it happen.
But then there is Path of the Chosen that I still have hanging in my thoughts. I guess I have some thinking to do. Luckily that’s pretty much all I do!
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
Cheers,
Dane
